ROYAL HONOR FOR OUR COLLEAGUE JOHAN

Great news to share! Our colleague Johan Greiner has been appointed as ‘Ridder in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau’, a prestigious royal honor in the Netherlands.

Johan has been volunteering with the KNRM (‘Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij’) at the Enkhuizen rescue station since 2000. After 14 years as a crew member, he stepped up to become a (deputy) skipper in 2014, taking command of rescue operations both on water and on shore.

The numbers speak for themselves: Johan has participated in 1,657 and counting rescue operations over the past 25 years, helping bring 4,022 people safely to shore!

VMG has been a friend of the KNRM for years, and we’re proud that several rescuers work or have worked at our company. While we’re happy to support the KNRM, we’re especially proud of Johan’s long-standing commitment that has now earned him this well-deserved royal recognition.

Congratulations, Johan!
