DEFINING A DECADE: SPARKMAN & STEPHENS 72 ‘BARUNA’

Originally launched in 1938, Baruna is a true icon of pre-war yacht design. Her elegant lines, racing pedigree, and historical significance make her one of the most admired classics still sailing today.

After a comprehensive seven and a half year restoration, she was relaunched in 2021. The refit focused on returning her to her original condition while upgrading systems to modern standards. A key part of the project was the complete rebuild of her interior, with every detail crafted to match the spirit of her 1930s design. The result is a yacht that looks and feels as if she has just left the yard for the first time: authentic, elegant, and ready for the years ahead.

Baruna continues to sail as a living piece of maritime heritage and remains a symbol of timeless beauty and true craftsmanship.
