JEFF: LOOKING AHEAD WHILE RESTORING THE PAST

The restoration of “Jeff”, a 39ft Dunkirk Little Ship built in 1923, is moving steadily forward. Originally designed for passenger trips on the Thames, she is now being refitted for a new life as a luxury canal cruiser.

The design for this next chapter comes from Olivier van Meer Design, who reimagined the deck layout while staying true to her classic lines and proportions. At VMG Yachtbuilders, we are working closely with the design team to bring every detail of that vision to life, combining historical preservation with modern comfort.

For the first time, we’re sharing a glimpse of what “Jeff” will look like once the refit is complete. These new renders give shape to the direction we’re heading. Respectful of the past, ready for the future.

Onboard, the work continues. Every section of the boat is being carefully assessed, restored or rebuilt. From structural work on the hull to joinery and interior planning, every step is part of a shared commitment to quality.

More to follow as “Jeff” continues her journey.
