SIMMERDREAM: A REFIT THAT RESPECTS THE ORIGINAL

Simmerdream is a 16.50 metre motor yacht built in 1946 by De Vries Lentsch and designed by De Voogt. She was delivered in 2025 after an extensive refit by VMG Yachtbuilders and Olivier van Meer Design.

The scope of this project was clear from the start. Preserve the character of this classic yacht, while preparing her for many more years on the water.

This resulted in a complete renewal below deck, including a fully new interior, an updated layout and entirely new technical systems.

The interior, was rebuilt from the ground up, combining modern comfort with a style that fits the original design of the yacht. At the same time, the exterior was carefully refinished and original elements such as the portholes and anchor winch were restored.

The result is a yacht that feels true to her origins, but performs and functions to today’s standards.

Following her delivery, Simmerdream returned to VMG Yachtbuilders during the winter period. This allowed us to go through the yacht once more in detail and prepare her for the next season.
