DEFINING A DECADE: MOTOR YACHT ‘IJVER’

‘IJver’ began as a one-off project known simply as ‘Waddenboot’, referencing the Wadden Sea where she would primarily sail. As her construction progressed at VMG Yachtbuilders, the vision behind the boat resonated more and more with everyone involved. The result was a distinctive yacht with classic lines, modern comfort, and a strong identity.

Designed by Olivier van Meer and built in 2020, she became the starting point of a new series: the IJver class. With the full support of her owner, ‘IJver’ was given bow number IJ1, marking her as the first of her kind. She combines the timeless silhouette of a traditional fishing logger with the refinement and quality of a luxury motor yacht, built to the highest Dutch standards.
