What happens at the yard: May

May brings beautiful weather and a growing anticipation for summer here at the yard. The spring air is filled with the scent of fresh projects and the sound of progress.

We have been working hard on a brand-new website. From now on, private owners, professionals, and brand owners can find extensive information about our building process at VMG. Additionally, you’ll find all the details about our company and the latest news. We also added a special page about what is means to work at VMG! We put in many hours and we are very proud of the end result.

In our woodworking factory, the team is hard at work crafting the interior of another 49-foot sport fishing boat for an American client. These teak interiors look incredible, and we can’t wait until the hulls are ready so we can begin the final assembly.

The Sally, our 1910 saloon boat, has been delivered to her owner. After an intensive winter refit at VMG, she’s back to museum quality. Technically and aesthetically perfect, she’s ready for many more years of service.

Last week, we delivered a stunning Arcona 50 in Sweden. This was the very first Arcona 50 for the Dutch market. Fully optioned and looking spectacular, her owner is currently sailing her from Sweden to the Netherlands.

The Stormvogel, which has been refitted by VMG over the past few years and feels like part of the family, is back in the water. She’s in perfect condition and, for enthusiasts, is also available for purchase through our friends at YachtFull International Yachtbrokers. https://hubs.li/Q02zs8WH0

The MY Tulipa has been fully painted. Our carpentry team, along with the technical team from Jongkind Jachtservice Medemblik, is working tirelessly to complete the boat. Both technically and in terms of interior, we are making great progress.

Finally, the Taeke Hadewych has officially been launched. He now resides in our harbor, and we’re currently putting the finishing touches on him. In the coming weeks, he will be ready to hand over to his owners.

That’s all for this edition of What Happens at the Yard. We’ll see you in a few weeks with our next update, where we’ll be delivering the Taeke Hadewych.
