SIMMERDREAM: FROM DESIGN TO REALITY
From a classic motor yacht in need of renewal to a fully refitted beauty on the water. This is Simmerdream before, on paper, and after.
Built in 1946 by De Vries Lentsch and designed by De Voogt, this 16.50 metre yacht has been transformed with a completely new interior, updated layout and modern systems. The design by Olivier van Meer set the course, and the final result turned out even better!
The new galley includes all the appliances you would expect today. The bathroom is comfortable and spacious, with a full-size shower. All technical systems have been replaced. And key details, like the original portholes and anchor winch, have been carefully restored.
This project was a close collaboration between VMG Yachtbuilders, Olivier van Meer, SDH, Jongkind Service Medemblik and Brovo Scheepsbouw. The designs are no longer just plans, they have turned into reality.
