The refit of Simmerdream at VMG
From Drawing to Reality
Built in 1946 by De Vries Lentsch and designed by De Voogt, this 16.50 metre yacht has been transformed with a completely new interior, updated layout and modern systems. The design by Olivier van Meer set the course, and the final result now shows how every detail has been brought to life.
The new galley includes all the appliances you would expect today. The bathroom is comfortable and spacious, with a full-size shower. All technical systems have been replaced. And key details, like the original portholes and anchor winch, have been carefully restored.
This project was a close collaboration between VMG Yachtbuilders, Olivier van Meer, SDH and Brovo. The drawings are no longer just plans, they are now reality.
