“JEFF” TAKES SHAPE WITH HER NEW ROOF

A key moment in the refit of “Jeff”. The roof is now being installed, bringing her original lines back into view.

The aluminium roof structure has been built by SDH and is currently being positioned on the boat. It was designed by Olivier van Meer Design as part of the refit, carefully matching the character and proportions of this historic vessel.

With the roof in place, the silhouette of “Jeff” becomes clear again. A solid construction that fits naturally into the design, both in function and appearance.

“Jeff” is a 39ft motor launch from 1923, built by J. Mears in Richmond. She later took part in Operation Dynamo in 1940 and remains one of the Little Ships of Dunkirk still in existence today.
