DEFINING A DECADE: ‘SPIRIT OF VENICE’

The 27.32-metre centreboard ketch ‘Spirit of Venice’ was delivered in 2018 and brought a lifelong dream to life. Designed by Olivier van Meer and built by VMG Yachtbuilders, she was created for an experienced ocean sailor who wanted a yacht that combined beauty, performance and independence.

Her aluminium hull is paired with a foam composite deck and superstructure, offering strength, reduced weight and long-range capability. A gaff rig with electric furling allows all sails to be operated from the helm, making her easy to handle single-handed. Thanks to her uprunning centreboard, she can explore shallow harbours as easily as open sea.

Below deck, she is filled with warm materials and thoughtful details. Bronze and brass, polished wood and a classically styled layout reflect the owner’s taste and the spirit of timeless adventure. She is not just a yacht with outstanding performance, but also a true home at sea.
