WHAT HAPPENS AT THE YARD | JUNE 2026

Summer is in full swing, and July is just around the corner. Over the past month, several projects have sailed away from the yard, while others are preparing to do the same. In the meantime, we are already getting the yard ready for new projects after the summer. Time for another update on what has been happening at the yard.

Let’s start with Jeff. The restoration project we are carrying out together with Olivier van Meer Design has now reached its final stage. The finishing touches are currently being completed on board, including safety equipment such as the radar reflector and lifebuoys. Super Duplex Hulls (SDH) is producing the aluminium bow thruster covers, designed to improve the efficiency of the bow thruster. Once she is ready, Jeff will be transported over land to her owner.

The Sport Fish series continues to take shape. On the Express version, the teak deck installation has been completed and she has been launched for testing. We are now completing the final details before handover. On the Flybridge version, the engines have been installed and will be aligned. Jongkind Service Medemblik is currently connecting the air conditioning system. The teak deck installation is progressing well, and work has started on fitting the interior and the teak coverboards.

Work on Patriot continues as well. This refit is being carried out by Holland Jachtbouw as part of the VMG Group, in collaboration with Vripack Yacht Design. Gemini Teak Decks has completed the teak deck installation, after which the deck was covered with a protective layer. The crew bathroom is taking shape, and onboard systems are gradually being reinstalled. SDH has polished and refitted the flybridge railings and the handrail at the bulwark. They also built the staircase connecting the flybridge and upper deck, while the upper deck railings were adjusted, polished and refitted.

The Puffin 42 Fina has been handed over to her owner. A few final touches are currently being completed, and she will soon leave for her first journeys through European waters. With this project completed, another yacht designed by Olivier van Meer Design and built by VMG Yachtbuilders is ready to begin her life on the water.
