WHAT HAPPENS AT THE YARD: APRIL

With Bubbles & Boats just around the corner and the weather already starting to feel like summer, it’s the perfect time to be working on yachts at VMG Yachtbuilders. Things are moving along nicely across the yard and we’re making good progress on all yachts.
Neorion is almost ready to go back in the water. Most of the work on shore is finished, and her hull has been refinished and protected with a ceramic coating. She’s looking sharp and nearly set for the next phase.
On Simmerdream, the interior is really starting to come together. You can clearly see the renders turning into the real thing, which is always a great moment in a refit like this. We can’t wait to see the final result.
In the main hall, two sport fishing boats are parked side by side: one of the two Flybridge yachts and the Express. The first one has already received her initial layer of paint, while the Express model has been faired and is ready to go into the spray booth soon. For now, the other Flybridge model is in the spray booth, ready to receive her first coat.
The Puffin 42 is also in the booth, where she’s being faired and prepped for the first coat of primer. Her aluminium hull will remain unpainted and has been carefully masked to keep everything clean.
Also moored at the yard is the impressive Vrouwe Christina. She is with us for a pitstop to prepare her for the sailing season.
Over at SDH, the hull of the Zilverfloat Scout 35 is nearing completion. The hull has taken shape and has already been turned, so they are making great progress.
As you can see, plenty of good things happened in April and we’ll be back with more in the next update!
